Ezio didn't get to rest in peace after his fatal battle in the heart of Florence. The lost son of a legendary assassin woke up from his own death and found himself in a strange Other World. He soon realized that he had been pulled into a larger conflict between the Assassins and Templars, an eternal war that threatens all humans. Ezio must find a way back home, build Brotherhood forces to defend against the Templars' power, rally allies from all walks of life who can help him face this new foe, and ultimately stop both sides from destroying humanity. The journey begins in Constantinople. Ezio's arrival in the city reveals his lost memories, and he discovers that the Templars are searching for an ancient artifact that will grant them unlimited power. Ezio travels across the city to find the key to understanding what this artifact is, where it is hidden, and how it can be destroyed before it falls into enemy hands. Along the way, he meets Yusuf Tazim, a Turkish Assassin who becomes Ezio's friend and mentor; Ahmet, the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire; Byzantine Templars under Manuel Palaiologos; members of Sultan Bayezid II's court; Prince Suleiman himself; and Altair - supposedly dead for 100 years. Now Ezio must unite the Assassins and their Ottoman allies, and fight to protect the Ottoman Empire, liberate Constantinople from the Templars, and ultimately prevent this ancient artifact from falling into the Templars' hands. "Assassin's Creed: Revelations" received "generally unfavorable reviews" according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. It ranked 47/100 on Metacritic based on 39 reviews. IGN said, "This last chapter in Ezio's journey is a mixed bag," and concluded that it was a fitting conclusion to his journey but didn't hold up well in comparison to its predecessors.
